Melissa received her MS Botany in August 2000.
Her thesis research was entitled
"Within stream reach genetic variation and phylogeography
of Batrachospermum helminthosum (Batrachospermales, Rhodophyta)"
After graduation, Melissa was employed with the Indiana DEM.
